Namibia in June

At night it gets cold and temperature are below 10 C, and in the desert it can be freezing.

During the day the temperatures are pleasant between 20-25 C

Botswana in June

At night it gets cold and temperature are freezing, and the average temperature in the morning is 6 C.

During the day the temperatures are pleasant around 25 C

Currency & Expenses

Currency in Namibia is the Namibian dollar

                                         1 NAD = 0.050 CHF approx. 

Currenrcy in Botswana is the Pula

                                         1 Pula = 0.065 CHF approx.

All Lodging is All Inclusive: Meals, snacks, coffee and tea, local beers and Wine and basic Spirits. Imported Wine / Spirits are subject to charge

Vehicle Petrol is not included for the self drive part

All items of personal nature, souvenirs, comprehensive travel insurance, activities and everything not stated in the offer are not included

Comprehensive Travel Insurance covering cancellation, curtailment, medical, emergency travel and assistance is compulsory.

Please ensure you also have comprehensive insurance for baggage, jewellery, electrical devices, cameras, cell phones etc in the

event of theft.

Functionality You Will Love

Clothes & Accessories

- Temperatures are mild to low, in the morning we need a good pile with a wind-stopper and a warm coffee.

- Clothes are preferable with natural colours like Kakhi, Olive green, avoid blue at any costs it attracts Tse Tse flies.

- Technical clothing that dry quickly are preferable, we will get our laundry done in every lodge in 24h

- A hat, sunglasses, long pants, long shirts, closed shoes, sandals for relaxing at the lodge. Even while being in a Game vehicle during the day please wear closed shoes

- My suggestion is to pack enough clothes for 5-6 days max

Toiletries

- all essentials, avoid strong perfumes during game drives that could disturb the wildlife

- sunscreen very important 50 SPF 

- mosquito repellent

Electronics 

- Electricity travel adapter for Namibia and Botswana, Hotel Lodges don't have adapters

Luggage

- Maximum 20kg per person total

- Soft duffle bags due to small aircrafts restrictions

Medical & Insurance

Please talk with your doctor and let him know where we are going and he will decide what medications you will need to take with you. 

- Malaria is a risk almost anywhere in Africa.

- Yellow fever is a mandatory vaccination to travel into Africa.
